Pictured: Taran (left), Gurgi and Princess Eilonwy are three of the memorable characters who embark on a heroic quest to prevent the evil Horned King from gaining possession of the Black Cauldron, a mysterious force capable of producing an army of supernatural warriors, in Walt Disney Pictures' full-length animated feature "The Black Cauldron." Produced in association with Silver Screen Partners II, the motion picture features the vocal talents of John Hurt, John Byner, Freddie Jones and Grant Bardsley. Elmer Bernstein composed the score and Ron Miller is the executive producer. Based on Lloyd Alexander's "Cronicles of Prydain" series of five books, "The Black Cauldron" is in color by Technicolor® and distribued by Buena Vista. (90A-317c) (FROM TEXT AT BOTTOM OF PHOTO)
