This Set of 8 11x14" Movie Items:
THE HAUNTED PALACE / U.S. Lobby Cards NSS# 63/274 ~ AMERICAN-INTERNATIONAL PICTURES ~ 1963
The Lobby Card set is in very good / excellent condition, with some various corner, edge and surface wear, some tape residue, some unobtrusive staple holes, some edge discolorations and general signs of handling.
Pictured: The cards feature some great photos of the film's stars VINCENT PRICE , DEBRA PAGET and LON CHANEY, JR. ...and some scary scenes including EVIL VINCENT PRICE (there are TWO of them in this film) about to ravish PAGET, being burned at the stake and, with CHANEY, trying to revive the body of his dead wife. NICE VINCENT PRICE is seen, clinging to PAGET while deformed, mutant townspeople converge on them.
The Well-Regarded entry in the AIP / EDGAR ALLAN POE horror film series is actually based on a popular story by H.P. LOVECRAFT and is directed by legendary cult-favorite ROGER CORMAN .
The left border includes the eerie poster images of stars VINCENT PRICE , DEBRA PAGET and LON CHANEY, JR. , the film's great dungeon scaffolding set and a scene of PRICE unleasing the THING IN THE PIT upon a manacled woman.
