This gorgeous, vibrant-color poster is in EXCELLENT / FINE condition, with virtually no signs of use or handling. It's printed on high-gloss heavy poster stock and has always been ROLLED - never folded. A riot of bright, brilliant colors and sharp images!
This wonderful poster is from an acclaimed theatrical compilation of popular GEORGE PAL short films of the 30s and 40s! The poster features great images of a T-Rex , TUBBY THE TUBA and GUMBY and POKEY on a wooden stage. A shower of Stars, Colorful Free-Form Musical Notes and notable PUPPETOON Characters fly high in the air from TUBBY's horn. SPEEDY ALKA-SELTZER , JASPER (from JASPER IN A JAM) and GEORGE PAL himself are also pictured in large, floating stars. The great, original PUPPETOON stylized logo is incorporated into the title logo.
Cinama Wizard GEORGE PAL's PUPPETOONS process used stop-motion animation and wonderfully stylized puppets to create a popular series of magical short films. PAL continued to contribute his magic to his own feature-length films including the original WAR OF THE WORLDS , TOM THUMB , SEVEN FACES OF DR. LAO , THE POWER and THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF THE BROTHERS GRIMM, among many others.
THE PUPPETOON MOVIE includes the talents of PAUL FREES , PEGGY LEE , VICTOR JOREY , ART LCOKEY , DALLAS McKENNON 'and some surprises!" Contributing animators include RAY HARRYHAUSEN , WILLIS O'BRIEN and WAH CHANG
