LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH ~ U.S. RELEASE POSTER NSS# 71/312 ~ PARAMOUNT PICTURES ~ 1971
This Original Horror-Classic Poster is in GOOD / VERY GOOD condition. It is printed on extra-heavy poster stock and has always been rolled - never folded. There are multiple staple holes in the four corners and at the left & right edge borders ; there is a diagonal crease in the top left (white) edge corner ; there is an approx 3" long, 1" deep chip at the upper left (white) border edge ; there is an approx 3: horizontal tear at lower left (white) border edge and an approx 1" horizontal tear in the lower left (white) edge border. An approx. 15" razor slice in the lower right edge (slightly into title) has been repaired on the back with tape ; an approx 1" stress tear, barely visible, in LAMPERT's chest. The imperfections are confined primarily to the border and edges: the fine, eerie art image looks terrific!
This exciting, horrific poster uses surrealistic colors to heighten the image's impact: terrified star ZORAH LAMPERT raises a harpoon to attack a skeleton that's emerging from a red sea, attempting to board her rowboat. Behind her, there's a full moon in a blue, clouded sky.
The creepy cult-favorite horror film about "Water Vampires" also stars BARTON HEYMAN , KEVIN O'CONNOR , GRETCHEN CORBETT , ALAN MANSON and MARICLARE COSTELLO . Directed by JOHN HANCOCK
