This approx. 22x28" Movie Item:
FAREWELL, MY LOVELY / U.S. Half-Sheet Poster NSS# 75/208 -~ AVCO EMBASSY PICTURES ~ 1975
This classic FILM NOIR poster from the hit 70's RAYMOND CHANDLER / PHILLIP MARLOWE detective drama is in Very Good / Excellent Condition. There's some very minor edge and surface wear ; light fingerprinting in the right black area ; some wrinkling along the top extreme (white) edge on the left ; an approx. 1/2" angled tear at the top center (white) edge ; two parallel approx. 3" and 5" diagonal creases a the bottom left corner, one very slightly into image area ; 3 light approx. 1/2" creases in image area, outside of faces and logo. Stored FLAT and out of sunlight since the 70s, the colors are rich and the images clear. Printed on glossy, heavy poster stock, the poster has NEVER BEEN FOLDED.
The poster features a great, moody image of star ROBERT MITCHUM as MARLOWE, with a drink in one hand and a cigarette dangling from his lips. He looks through a window and the reflection of co-star CHARLOTTE RAMPLING appears on the glass, along with the written-in-neon film's logo. This great image is credited to "McMACKEN '75"
The film also stars JOHN IRELAND , SYLVIA MILES , ANTHONY ZERBE and HARRY DEAN STANTON . Directed by DICK RICHARDS
The poster includes the following text:
