This striking RARE-SIZE / RARELY-OFFERED Original Poster from the popular entry in the DIRTY HARRY action-adventure film series is in Very Good / Excellent condition. It has always been ROLLED / never folded. With overall very light edge and surface wear ; a few very light, small and sparse surface creases ; the top approx. 15" have light tanning, noticible primarily in the top right white edge and fading as it goes to the right edge ; there are three pieces of scotch tape in the border: one piece at the upper left edge goes approx. 1/2" into the black area ; an approx. 1/8" tan dot / stain to left of and below the tip of the gun ; several tack and staple holes in the edges at the corners , with some partly into the black border ; some sparse and light fingerprinting ; some areas of moderate edge wrinkling in the white border ; an approx. 1" vertical tear in the lower right (white) edge with no paper loss - arrested on the back of the poster with a small piece of archival tape ; an area of light moisture wrinkling at the bottom left black area (about 2" below the title) measuring approx. 10" l x 3" h.
Stored out-of-sunlight since the 70s, the colors are vivid and unfaded and the images sharp and clear. Like most posters of this size, it is printed on extra-heavy glossy poster stock.
This outstanding poster is rendered in great-contrast black and whites with a terrific photo credited to acclaimed poster artist BILL GOLD and a single blood-red bullet hole in the striking stylized title logo. Iconic superstar CLINT EASTWOOD (in probably his most famous role) holds his trademarked 247 MAGNUM at the ready and peers out from behind a barrier. The striking SAN FRANCISCO skyline and GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE are seen moodily behind him, along with a setting sun.
