This exciting exploitation poster from the CULT-FAVORITE BETTE DAVIS Horror / Black Comedy is in Fair / Good condition. It is machine folded, with light wear at the fold lines and some small creases radiating from the folds ; overall light surface wear; some rough wear at the edges, with slight paper tears and some small chipping, some with small paper loss ; an approx. 1" x 1/2" chip at the top left edge with paper loss ; approx. 2" horizontal seam separation at all three fold crosspoints, with some slight paper loss ; approx. 2" horizontal separation at the left three edge fold lines, with slight paper loss ; staple holes in all four corners ; an approx. 1"x1" triangular tear at the right center in the orange HANCOCK image, with small paper loss ; several light black scuffs at the bottom right, above the title ; two approx. 1" square white stickers at the bottom right white area ; two very small horizontal tears in center areas ; light signs of handling and use. Most small tears have been arrested on the back with archival tape. With bright, unfaded colors and sharp images. Printed on glossy poster stock.
The striking poster from the delightfully perverse bitchfest is kind of misleading (promising a lot more sex and horror than filmed) and just adds to the fun of this intentionally-funny film. A neat sketch of eye-patched movie icon BETTE DAVIS is perched atop a totem pole of photos of her cross-dressing son (played by either JACK HEDLEY , CHRISTIAN ROBERTS or JAMES COSSINS - I'm not sure which) and half-naked SHEILA HANCOCK. Orange-tinted bodies seem to writhe in ecstasy behind them. With a great, stylized title logo and credit for DAVIS. A great collectible for any fan of BETTE DAVIS and this hilarious film!
