This exciting RARE-SIZE / RARELY-OFFERED ORIGINAL poster is Very Good / Excellent condition! With light edge and surface wear ; a few light surface creases ; an approx. 3" razor-thin vertical surface scrape just above the rear of the taxi and another about 2" long into and below the rear tire ; an approx. 12" x 3" horizontal oval area of light moisture wrinkling at the bottom right, in the Columbia Logo and the MPA rating ; some fingerprinting in the upper left black area, above the lamp post ; staple holes in all four corners ; a few 1/4" or smaller tears in the white edge border.
The gorgeous poster image, in a style reminiscent of EDWARD HOPPER's Nighthawks painting, shows troubled loner and cabdriver Travis Bickle / ROBERT DeNIRO on a moody abandoned NEW YORK street lit by smoky streetlights. Behind him is his parked YELLOW CAB and and a highrise building with windows randomly lit and dark.
The film also stars JODIE FOSTER , ALBERT BROOKS , HARVEY KEITEL , LEONARD HARRIS , PETER BOYLE and CYBILL SHEPHERD . Directed by MARTIN SCORSESE
