This approx. 27 x 40" Movie Item:
APOLLO 13 ~ U.S. SPECIAL ADVANCE RELEASE POSTER ~ UNIVERSAL PICTURES ~ 1995
This original, SPECIAL ADVANCE poster from RON HOWARD's classic NASA space exploration drama is in very good condition. With very minor edge and surface wear ; an approx. 10" angled horizontal crease from the right center edge is visible in black sky and partly into Earth image ; an approx. 1" angled crease at bottom right corner ; approx. 6" edge wrinkling at bottom right edge. It is printed on glossy poster stock and has always been ROLLED - never folded. With rich, unfaded color.
The poster features a terrific dramatic image showing the fragile-looking APOLLO 13 spacecraft, trailing vapor, approching the huge crescent edge of the Moon, with the Earth visible in the largely-black sky. Small, understated lettering below the craft repeats the astronauts' first mention of possible catastrophe:
"Houston, we have a problem."
With astronaut / star credits at the top of the poster, a great, stylized title-logo, and muted full-theatrical credits at the bottom.
