STANLEY KUBRICK Tribute Poster ~ U.S. Video POSTER ~ WARNER BROS HOME VIDEO / MGM HOME ENTERTAINMENT / COLUMBIA - TRI-STAR HOME VIDEO ~ 1999
This unusual MULTI-STUDIO - LIMITED-EDITION poster, paying tribute to just-passed Movie Icon Director STANLEY KUBRICK, is in Very Good+ condition. With minor edge and surface wear ; approx. 5 light but partly visible horizontal creases, approx. 13" at center points ; a few short, light surface creases ; approx. 8" heavy wrinkling with tiny tears and some small paper loss at the top right extreme edge. It is printed on glossy poster stock and has always been ROLLED - never folded.
The unique, handsomely-styled poster, issued with the joint-cooperation of three different KUBIRCK movie studios, tastefully acknowledged the passing that year of the iconic director (and, I suppose, subtly reminded us of video-available titles). Featuring poster / video artwork (with no film titles) from nine classic KUBRICK films: The Killing , Paths of Glory , Lolita , Dr. Strangelove , 2001: A Space Odyssey , A Clockwork Orange , Barry Lyndon , The Shining and Full Metal Jacket . With KUBRICK's name featued in large letters, all against a white background.
The poster includes images of KUBRICK stars STERLING HAYDEN , KIRK DOUGLAS , SUE LYON , PETER SELLERS , KIER DULLEA , MALCOLM McDOWELL and JACK NICHOLSON .
